At QEGS Sixth Form we pride ourselves on being part of a mixed, selective academy, and offer students all the freedoms you might expect of a Sixth Form college, with the support and structure of being part of a school.

With a reputation for academic success and outstanding achievements in sport, the arts and enterprise, students thrive in our vibrant and friendly learning environment.

We welcome large numbers of students from our main school, as well as students from across Cumbria and as far afield as Carlisle, and aim to make the transition to Sixth Form as smooth as possible.

Located on a separate site, the Sixth Form Centre is home to around 240 students, who are expected to dress in a smart, casual manner. Facilities for private study, a common room and even a kitchen, provide a more adult, sociable enviroment.

Add to this, outstanding pastoral provision, and personalised support and guidance in making university and career choices, and it's no wonder we are the local Sixth Form of choice.
